Description

Description Course overview PADI Discover Scuba Diving is a safe and inspiring first step into the underwater world. No prior experience is required — just basic swimming ability and curiosity. You will learn how to breathe underwater, become familiar with the equipment and practice essential skills under the direct supervision of a professional instructor. Training is conducted calmly and personally, in small groups or privately. We are experienced in working with first-timers and nervous divers. For many, this is where a lifelong passion begins. Includes • Short eLearning session • Equipment introduction • Basic skill practice in pool or sheltered water • One supervised dive • Maximum depth 6–12 meters Price includes • Small groups or private instruction • Full equipment • eLearning materials • Pool and/or open water instruction (standard scope) • DAN dive insurance (you must register to your instructor's DAN insurance together with your instructor on dive site before any diving activities) Outcome A great introduction to scuba — not a certification. Requirements • Minimum age 10 • Basic swimming ability • Medical questionnaire: If you have any of the risk factors listed in the medical screening form (i.e., if you answer “yes” to items that require a medical examination before diving), this often does not mean that you cannot take up diving. However, you will need a physician’s certificate to dive. Medical examinations are provided, for example, by private medical clinics. The health questionnaire is completed digitally in PADI’s system after enrolling in the course, but we recommend reviewing it in advance. You can find the medical screening questionnaire in Finnish, Swedish, English, and several other languages on the UHMS website at: https://www.uhms.org/fi/resources/featured-resources/recreational-diving-medical-screening-system.html Continue education after try dive with • PADI Open Water Diver
